Quick, easy, and full of flavor – air fryer salmon patties with a creamy dill sauce! The perfect healthy, gluten-free, and dairy-free dinner recipe. Comes together in a few simple steps, and in just 15 minutes!

What You’ll Need to Make Air Fryer Salmon Patties

Canned Salmon – I used two cans of wild sockeye salmon in my patties, but any canned salmon will work. Canned salmon is an easy addition to this already super easy meal. It’s also a great source of lean protein, vitamin B12, iron, potassium, and vitamin D. However, these air fryer salmon patties are so delicious, no one will ever guess how healthy they are!

Breadcrumbs – I used gluten-free panko breadcrumbs, but any unflavored/unseasoned breadcrumbs will taste great! Panko breadcrumbs are lighter and will yield a crispier patty. Or, if you don’t have breadcrumbs, you can use 1/3 cup of almond flour in its place.

Mayonnaise – This creamy condiment comes in handy in both the salmon patties and the creamy dill sauce. If not a mayo fan, you can use unsweetened greek yogurt instead!

Tips and Tricks

  • For an even crisper salmon patty, coat the outside in additional breadcrumbs. Then, place in the air fryer and coat with a drizzle of oil before cooking. The end result will be golden brown, soft on the inside, and crispy on the outside air fryer salmon patties!
  • Enjoy this recipe however you’d like. I served mine over lettuce and rice, with a drizzle of that creamy dill sauce. Though these would also taste amazing as a salmon burger between two buns!

Adjust This Recipe To Your Dietary Needs

Make it Egg-Free: While I haven’t tested this option myself, you may be able to replace the eggs in this recipe with flax eggs. Or, try this Bob’s Red Mill Egg Replacer as a substitute. Also, be sure to use an egg-free mayo!

Make it Gluten-Free: For a gluten-free dinner recipe, use gluten-free breadcrumbs like I did! Then, serve these air fryer salmon patties over a bed of your favorite veggies and rice.

This kale caesar salad is bursting with fresh flavor! It’s hearty and super satisfying, but won’t leave you feeling weighed down. Fuel up on this healthy and delicious restaurant-quality salad for lunch or dinner!

caesar dressing being poured over a kale caesar salad

What You’ll Need

Kale – Duh! It wouldn’t be a kale caesar salad without it. There’s a pretty large variety of kale out there, and really any kind will work in this recipe. I used curly kale, but dino kale tastes just as good. To prepare your kale for this dish, start by removing the thickest part of the stem located at the base of each leaf. Once that’s gone, lay all kale leaves down on a cutting board horizontally and run your knife through them. Keep your cuts about 1 to 2-inches apart, anything bigger may become difficult to chew!

Romaine – Crunchy romaine adds the perfect, fresh bite to this healthy salad recipe! Since romaine is made up of mostly water, it’s softer and easier to chew than fibrous kale. I experimented with both a romaine and non-romaine version of this recipe, and adding in romaine is definitely the way to go! However, if you don’t have any romaine lettuce on-hand, feel free to make this salad without it.

Croutons – This kale caesar salad is allllll about a good crunch. We stop at literally nothing to add as much crunch to it as possible. Personally, I don’t think any caesar salad is complete without at least a few croutons – they’re arguably the best part! You can use store-bought croutons, but I included a note below this recipe on how to make your own homemade croutons. It’s actually super quick, easy, and that much more delicious.

Anchovy Filets – Guys, I don’t wanna hear it! Anchovies have such a bed rep, but they actually work wonders in many recipes. Also, if you think you “hate” anchovies, but enjoy caesar salads on a regular basis, then think again! Most caesar dressings contain some form of anchovies, or at least all the really good ones do. And don’t worry, 3-4 anchovy filets won’t make our dressing taste at all fishy. They simply add a delicious, briny touch that’s truly unmatched! Therefore, don’t make this recipe without them.

Add Protein

Turn this easy salad recipe into a complete meal by topping it with cooked chicken, shrimp, salmon, or some crispy chickpeas!

What Makes This Kale Caesar Salad So Healthy?

Kale is one of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet! I mean, it’s a literal superfood, so it’s full of:

  • Vitamin A – strengthens immune system.
  • Vitamin K – necessary to prevent blood clotting.
  • Folate – great for brain development.
  • Potassium – aids nerve and muscle function.
  • Vitamin C – prevents chronic diseases.
  • Calcium – builds strong bones.
  • Zinc – strengthens immune system and metabolism.

Adjust This Recipe To Your Dietary Needs

Make it Gluten-Free: Use gluten-free croutons instead!

Make it Dairy-Free: Either omit the parmesan cheese, or use nutritional yeast or your favorite non-dairy parmesan cheese in its place.

Vegan Option: Make this a vegan kale caesar salad by replacing the parmesan cheese with nutritional yeast, the mayonnaise with vegan mayonnaise, and the anchovy filets with a teaspoon of capers.

These caramelized onion burgers are incredibly juicy and flavorful! They even include a simple, yet delicious garlic aioli that will blow your socks off. Make these caramelized onion burgers for your next date night-in or dinner party – this restaurant-quality recipe is a total crowd-favorite!

close up image of caramelized onion burgers in a baking pan

It took me a while to realize that I didn’t hate all onions. Well it took me until the day that I discovered caramelized onions, to be exact. To me, onions are much too tangy and almost spicy to eat raw. However, when you slowly cook onions in (dairy-free) butter, they release their natural sugars, becoming sweet and delicious! Caramelized is one of the few ways that I’ll even eat onions. They’re super soft, tender, and simply add the BEST flavor to these burgers.

Garlic aioli was introduced to these caramelized onion burgers when I realized how often I seek anything garlic aioli when I’m out to eat, but have yet to make it myself at home?? Which was kind of crazy because aioli is SUPER easy to make at home! It literally consists of a small handful of ingredients that I almost always have on-hand. Mayo, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper – that’s all you’ll need to make this restaurant-style spread! It’s creamy, tangy, and has just the right amount of garlic. Altogether, these caramelized onion burgers with garlic aioli are exploding with incredible flavor!

What You Need To Make Caramelized Onion Burgers with Garlic Aioli

Onions – I prefer yellow onions for their higher sugar content, thus making them all the more sweeter once caramelized. However, you can use white onion if you’d like! Prepare your onions for this recipe by removing the paper-like skin, slicing them once down the center, then lay the cut side-down on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, slice the onion into 1/4-1/8 inch half moon slices. Either prepare to cry while you slice your onions, or throw on a pair of goggles like me! I look crazy, but three onions and no tears later, it’s SO worth it.

Ground Beef – The key to a super juicy and tender caramelized onion burger is 80% to 85% lean ground beef. I used 80% ground beef, which means that my beef consisted of 20% fat. This may seem like a lot, but much of the fat in the ground beef is rendered and cooked off while the burgers cook. Though the little bit of fat that gets left behind makes these burgers a whole lot more tender and flavorful!

Gluten-Free Buns – I’m not going to lie, gluten-free hamburger buns can be pretty hard to come by. I use and recommend the Canyon Bakehouse Gluten-Free Hamburger Buns which I find in the freezer section at my local Whole Foods. Though feel free to use your favorite/whichever gluten-free buns you can find. And if you’re not gluten-free, use regular hamburger buns instead!

Adjust This Recipe To Your Diet

  • Make it Vegan: Use your favorite ground beef substitute for the ground beef in this recipe, and use vegan mayo instead of regular mayo.
  • Add Cheese: A slice or two of melty gruyere or provolone cheese would taste delicious for all my dairy-tolerant friends!
  • Make it A Salad: One of my favorite ways to eat this recipe is actually over a salad! I start with a bed of arugula, add some fresh sliced cucumber and tomatoes, then place the cooked burger patty and a hefty scoop of caramelized onions on top. Last, but definitely not least, I drizzle that delicious garlic aioli over the top as the dressing and enjoy!
